BIOGRAPHY
Tara Patrina has been weaving since 2015, starting their journey in college and quickly becoming captivated by the craft. Shortly thereafter, they joined the Hartford Artisans Weaving Center in Connecticut, where they began as an intern and later became a studio assistant. Currently, Tara serves as the studio’s Designer, collaborating one-on-one with 30 artisans to create unique drafts tailored to their interests and skill sets, averaging around 200 drafts each year.

VISION
Tara Patrina aimed to capture the soft tones of the shoreline along with its spontaneous and organic shapes. They utilized all-natural fibers, such as linen, to reflect the various grasses found by the surf, and wool to represent the frothy foam of the ocean.
