We offer the convenience of purchasing gift cards for Newport Harbor Island Resort through Yiftee, an online gifting platform. Guests have 24/7 access to our fitness center using their room keys. The fitness center overlooks the indoor pool and is equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, weights, and more. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to use the fitness center.

Check-in time is after 4:00PM; check-out time is 11:00AM. We’ll do our best to accommodate early check-ins; we will allow full use of all hotel amenities and will happily store your luggage safely and securely. Please note that an early arrival or late departure fee may apply.
We love our four-legged friends! Your guestrooms will be fully equipped with dog beds and bowls to make your pups’ stay just as comfortable!

Yes! Guests are welcome to utilize our business center, located in the Captain’s Quarter’s wing.
Our complimentary shuttle and water taxi are both available for transportation to and from Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport every half-hour. The shuttle is available year-round, and the water taxi operates from May 15-September 15.
We are happy to offer complimentary cribs and rollaways. Please contact us in advance of your stay to request.

Newport Harbor Island Resort was previously Gurney’s Newport and became independent in October 2022 under new ownership and management. There is no interruption in the quality of service to our guests. We also can no longer accept Gurney’s gift cards, but they are still valid at any Gurney’s property. To initiate a search for your lost item, kindly complete our lost & found form. Our devoted team will search our lost & found inventory and facilitate the return of your belongings.
Non-Smoking Policy:
Newport Harbor Island Resort is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas, including guest rooms, common areas, and enclosed spaces. This includes but is not limited to cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, and any other form of smoking.
Guests who violate the non-smoking policy will be subject to a cleaning fee to restore the room to a smoke-free condition. The cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account and may vary depending on the extent of the damage caused by smoking.
Designated Smoking Areas:
Newport Harbor Island Resort provides designated smoking areas for guests who wish to smoke. These areas are clearly marked and located in outdoor spaces away from the main entrances and common areas.
Guests are required to dispose of cigarette butts and other smoking-related waste properly in the designated receptacles provided. Littering or disposing of smoking waste in non-designated areas is strictly prohibited.
Guest Responsibility:
Guests are responsible for understanding and complying with the smoking policy during their stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort. It is the responsibility of guests to adhere to the non-smoking policy in their assigned rooms and throughout the hotel premises.
Any damage caused to the room or hotel property due to smoking, including but not limited to burns, stains, or lingering odors, will be charged to the guest’s account for the necessary repairs or replacements.
